Started in 2007, Monark Events L.L.C. was a dream come to fruition for two Midwestern girls. After meeting for the first time in Destin, Florida in 2004, Briane Workman and Hillary Fosdyck, Co-Owners of Monark Events, realized that they not only shared the same birthday but passions and values as well. They decided at that first meeting that some day they would go into business together. After two years of dreaming and waiting, an incredible opportunity at the perfect time presented itself. Founded on the principal of serving, creating, planning and offering beyond what is expected, Monark Events was given its name.

Briane M. Workman
A product of Motor City, Event Director, Briane Workman, exudes the Midwestern values of hard work, honesty, and persistence. She grew up playing various sports where she learned the value of team work and the drive for excellence. But not only a natural athlete, Briane’s attractive personality and looks propelled her to a modeling career along with stints on stage as both an actress and pageant finalist. Shortly after earning her business degree on scholarship from Grand Valley State University in 2001, Briane became the branch manager of a local bank where she earned several awards including Branch Manager of the Year and carried that resume to Florida in 2004. Despite her accolades in the banking industry, Briane had a passion to start her own business that would encompass creativity while utilizing her expert skills in sales and management. As a former model, collegiate volleyball player, make-up artist, salon/spa manager and bank manager, Briane has the unique ability to fuse fashion with function providing her clients with dedication and detail in pursuit of the event of their dreams.
Hillary K. Fosdyck
Event Designer, Hillary Fosdyck, was born and raised in the Midwest. In 2000, she left her hometown in Illinois to pursue her passions of education, art and culture by moving to Minneapolis, Minnesota to study Spanish and Art at Bethel University. In 2002, she jumped at the opportunity to study abroad in the heart of Seville, Spain at the Center for Cross Cultural Studies. Hillary’s degree and appreciation for art with vivid colors and movement was inspired by her studies abroad. With that, she brings an eye for detail and distinction. Hillary has worked as a Marketing Coordinator for a nationally respected salon/spa in Minneapolis where she organized design projects, marketing and PR campaigns, hair shows and photo shoots. These were the foundation for what has become a passion for planning with flair, detail and originality for her clients. After moving to Florida in 2004, Hillary worked as the Art of Living Director for The St. Joe Company’s Northwest Florida Region doing event planning and communications. There, Hillary’s passion for creative planning was further ignited and she realized her dream of one day starting her own event planning company. As an artist, designer, planner and marketing and communications specialist, Hillary has the ability to tie together every event detail and aesthetic from beginning to end.
Both Briane’s and Hillary’s energetic and amiable personalities enable their clients to feel at ease knowing that the combined talents of the two will create an affair to remember. Together, Briane Workman and Hillary Fosdyck are the epitome of Monark Events - unique, fresh, talented, and dedicated. They are the salt and pepper that will add spice to your event and make your experience tastefully magnificent.
